ABOUT TROY FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH:

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

- Experience using Fund Accounting

- Church experience preferred, but not required.

- Maintains and respects confidentiality.

- Good communication skills and ability to use proper channels of communication.

- Ability to organize priorities and complete work with multiple interruptions.

STATEMENT OF FAITH:

- We ask that all candidates be willing to provide a written statement of faith briefly describing your Christian belief and its influence in your life.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare all vouchers.

- Prepare monthly financial statements and reconciliations.

- Process accounts payable (write checks).

- Process semi-monthly payroll for all church employees and submit related reporting.

- Oversight of all church investments.

- Attend and report at Finance Committee meeting.

- Attend and report at Church Council meeting.

- Other tasks as assigned.
