April Hostetler

Lead Teacher, Toddler Class & 3/4 Year Old Class

April believes the early childhood years are crucial to a child's social, emotional, and spiritual development, and she is blessed to be a part of their journey. She feels the importance of supporting families with positive encouragement, because she says parenting as we know brings great joy and a crazy of its own.

April resides in Arcanum with her wonderful husband of 34 years. They have 3 beautiful children and 2 grandchildren who are their pride and joy. Currently they're awaiting the special arrival of their first granddaughter! In addition to her family, she enjoys gardening, floral design, and biblical archeology. In the last several years, April has been blessed to work with a dedicated group of believers who are rooted in teaching God’s love to children at EUM Church in Greenville. She has seen a new generation of children come to know Jesus, God and the Bible while being involved with Lifewise Academy.

April's passion for sharing the Love of Jesus with children is a gift to our students and their families. She feels so privileged to plant spiritual seeds alongside educational seeds in their garden.
I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth... I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.  Genesis: 9:13, 15

Sara Macan

Assistant Teacher, Toddler Class, 3/4 Year Old Class & Extended Care

Sara loves teaching preschool, seeing how the young mind develops and grows and seeing the children excited and curious. It is exciting to her and fills her heart when they start to understand new things.

She is a Troy resident and spent most of her time growing up between Colorado and here. She and her husband have three children, two daughters and a son. All three of her children are on the spectrum, but she believes God knew she could handle it and that's why he gave her her three unique souls. She also has three dogs and a pet leopard gecko. Sara's hobbies are fishing, walking, and art. She mostly attends TLC in Troy, but will go to St. Boniface in Piqua. She grew up Catholic and attended both St.Boniface and St. Pats. She has enjoyed helping in the soup kitchen and being part of serving events at the churches. Her favorite is doing face painting for the children's event.

Sara loves to pass along her knowledge of her faith to her children who have also come to love God. God has always shown up for her and her family in the most unexpected ways. She says, God is good all the time! We are grateful to Sara for sharing her appreciation for God's goodness with our students.
